On the 22nd January 2022 ERP has donated yet anotherl in commemoration of Gert Vermeulen, the Co-founder of #BIKES4ERP who unfortunately passed away last year. The handing over ceremony took place at Barokologadi Community Hall, Pitsedisulejang. The purpose of the bicycles is to assist learners to arrive on time at school so they can focus more on their studies to have a better future.
In attendance were Kgosikgolo Thari Maotwe and the council member Mr. Kgomotso Maotwe, ERP Chairperson (Mr. Lesiba Masibe), Barokologadi CPA Chairperson (Mr. TZ Molwantwa ), BCPA Treasurer(Mr. Comfort Setou), BCPA Deputy Secretary(Mr. Edwin Mogatosi), BCPA business committee members (Mr. Lawrence Setou and Mr. Patrick Kgobokwe), #BIKES4ERP Team led by Mr. Nicolai van der Merwe, Olefile Secondary School staff, BCPA General Manager Mr. Amos Setou and BCPA Administrator Mr. Letsatsi Ditlhale.
Key to mention is that BCPA Chairperson, Mr TZ Molwantwa made some key remarks on the day on how land restitution process which after many years of blood, sweat and tears culminated into BCPA obtaining title to Melorane land and eventually attracting ERP as its investor for future ecotourism, conservation and wildlife projects. He indicated that BCPA is greatful to have a caring investor and partner like ERP who at all times, goes beyond just investing in our land but truly cares for our people too. He encouraged Basebo to be proud of their land and their decision to use their land for investments as opposed to using it for relocation and grazing their cattle. The benefits are immense as now BCPA with ERP have gotten authorisation to operate a privately owned Game Reserve on their land which should be operational by April 2022. This project will have immense spin-offs and job creation opportunities for various barokologadi villages.
We would like to thank Elephants, Rhinos & People once again for this wonderful work to our community once again! #BCPA #ERP #POVERTYALLEVIATION #COMMUNITYMATTERS #Conservation
